Hadlow College

The government’s Free School policy allowed Hadlow College, which specialises in the land-based industries, to set up Hadlow Rural Community School for 11-16 year olds in September 2013.

It followed many years working with Year 10 pupils and above from local schools, which in turn led to the development of the now well-established Education Centre for teachers and pupils.

Hadow Rural Community School is due to move to a new purpose-built site, not far from its existing location within the college grounds, in 2015.

The vice principal of Hadlow College chairs the school’s board of governors and staff at the college oversee the pupils’ land-based studies from entry to the school in Year 7, using the extensive facilities to deliver courses at Levels 1, 2 and 3.

In addition, pupils can benefit from the College Education Centre’s careers’ advice service.
