George Jessel

George has lived in Kent most of his life and is a ‘Man of Kent’. He is married to Vicki and has two teenage children. He farms just over 1,000 acres on the North Downs just outside Ashford. The farm comprises 200 acres of mixed woodland, a restaurant and an office hub of converted farm buildings. The arable enterprise consists of wheat and oilseed rape together with a beef and sheep enterprise. George is a Kent Ambassador and a Deputy Lieutenant of Kent and is passionate about all rural issues. He has just stepped down after six years as Chairman of the Kent County Agricultural Society and is now an honorary Life Governor. His is a Patron of Hadlow College and Chairman of the Wye Agricultural Museum. His interests include game conservancy, ski-ing, photography and travel.
