School Meals
Dining at Hadlow Rural Community School represents a key part of the day in which students and staff are able to eat, socialise and meet together.
Students are allocated a timetabled slot for their year group, which rotates across the week providing opportunities for them to socialise with other year groups as well as their own, as well as accessing the large range of coordinated clubs and activities taking place during lunchtime.
We are committed to ensuring pupils eat healthily and learn the importance of eating nutritious food.
Meals are on a three-weekly menu cycle and are two courses, with a main course plus a range of vegetables and carbohydrate options, followed by dessert. For vegetarian pupils, a vegetarian meal will be provided. Please click on the links below to view this terms menu choices.
A main meal and dessert cost £3.00 a day and are payable online via Arbor to top up your childs account, the school has a cashless payment system using biometrics.

Catering at Hadlow Rural Community School – September 2023
We are pleased to confirm that the school, supported by the DfE, will be installing their own kitchen over the Summer break.
This has allowed us greater freedom with selecting our own catering provider and we are pleased to confirm that as from September 2023, Nourish Contract Catering, will be providing the food service at HRCS.
Food First
We believe the use of good quality ingredients in homemade cooking is the real recipe for success. Our Nourish team work with chefs in the kitchens and children in the classroom to develop new meals that everyone will enjoy.
Our menus change in line with the seasons to bring fresh and vibrant options whatever the weather. Alongside this, we work closely with our clients to run themed weeks and special promotional days in accordance with the school curriculum. We also work with our school councils, arranging taster days to sample new possible dishes for the upcoming menu and provide Nourish with feedback.
We are conscious of rising obesity levels in children and promote the importance of a balanced diet to one’s overall health. Our wholesome lunchtime meals guarantee the nutrients and vitamins a child needs, with a variety of carbohydrates, protein and fibre. Our menu is fully compliant with School Food Standards and we take pride in providing nutritious but tasty food.
